About St. Joseph Catholic School
Welcome To St. Joseph School
For more than 50 years, St. Joseph School has provided an excellent education for young people in Livingston County and adjoining areas. In 1998, we added a middle school and now offer classes from preschool through middle school. We currently have 316 students K-8 and 58 preschoolers. | St. Joseph School is a Catholic school based in Howell, Michigan. We have a conservative, Christian philosophy that emphasizes the spiritual development, academic excellence and strong character building needed to equip our children to meet the challenges of a global economy.
ST. JOSEPH SCHOOL AND PRESCHOOL ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLING CHILDREN FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR. ALL ARE WELCOME!

At St. Joseph School, we live by the motto "to know, to love, to serve". Our children are held to a high standard of personal accountability in behavior and academic performance in a positive environment that teaches acceptance and love for our fellow man.
St. Joseph School children participate in ongoing community service with children assisting in food drives and other service opportunities throughout the school year to assist the less fortunate. It is our belief that a capacity for service builds leadership skills. | Academic Excellence
In common with most Catholic schools, our small class sizes, experienced teachers and strong parent involvement in the classrooms contribute to high levels of academic success. In the Fall 2009 MEAP, our 8th graders obtained an English Language Arts (ELA) score of 100% and a mathematics score of 93%. The composite score is the percentage of children achieving a Proficient or Advanced in the subject area tested. The seventh graders achieved an ELA score of 100% and a mathematics score of 94%. | |
